Letter 19: The Secret Place — Where You Find Him
This is Letter 19 from Rescue Mission from Heaven. In a world that’s louder than ever—shouting for your attention, pulling you in a dozen directions—this letter is an invitation to come away. To shut the door, silence the noise, and enter into the one place where your heart can breathe again: the secret place with Jesus.
When the Noise Fades and His Voice Remains
The world is loud.
Opinions.
Headlines.
Social media.
Demands.
It feels like everyone is shouting for your attention.
But Jesus waits in the secret place—
The quiet, hidden space where only He and you meet.
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
(Matthew 6:6)
The secret place is the lifeboat in the flood.
It’s the anchor that holds you steady when the world is shifting and shaking.
In the secret place, you find:
His voice—quiet and steady.
His peace—deeper than the storm.
His love—stronger than your fear.
I’ve learned that the secret place isn’t a location—it’s a posture.
A surrendered heart.
A willingness to close the door on the noise and open your heart to His presence.
It’s in the secret place that chains break.
That wounds heal.
That hope rises.
That faith grows roots.
Friend, don’t let the world drown out His voice.
Go to the secret place.
He’s waiting there—to remind you who you are, to show you how loved you are, to give you strength for the journey.
The secret place isn’t a hiding place—
It’s a launching pad.
It’s where Jesus meets you, and from there, He sends you back into the world—filled with His Spirit, ready to shine.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, draw me into the secret place.
Teach me to close the door on the noise and open my heart to Your voice.
Meet me there, and fill me with Your peace, love, and strength. Amen.
Action Step
Today, find a quiet place—even if it’s just for five minutes.
Turn off your phone, close the door, and sit with Jesus.
Listen.
Let His voice drown out the world’s noise. [Read the next letter here.]
