Letter 22: The Shaking — When God Shakes What Can Be Shaken

This is Letter 22 from Rescue Mission from Heaven. In these final days, the world is shaking on every level—physically, emotionally, spiritually. We weren’t promised stability in this life, but we were promised a Rescuer who never changes. This letter is for the one who feels like everything is coming undone. What if the shaking isn’t a punishment—but a rescue? What if it’s God, in His mercy, removing everything that can’t hold so we finally cling to the One who can?

When the Storm Comes, What Will Stand?

The world is trembling.
Storms are rising.
The ground we once trusted feels like it’s crumbling beneath our feet.

Jesus warned us:
Everything that can be shaken—will be shaken.

Why?

So that what cannot be shaken will remain.
So that every false foundation, every lifeboat that isn’t Jesus…
will fall away.

Let the Shaking Reveal What’s Real

I’ve felt it.
The shaking.
The collapse of the things I once trusted to hold me together.
But in the middle of that collapse—
I found Jesus still standing.

He held me steady.

And friend, if you’re feeling the shaking right now—
don’t be afraid.
Let it reveal what’s real.
Let it strip away what was never meant to hold you.
Let it anchor you to the only One who can’t be moved.

Jesus Is the Lifeboat That Never Sinks

Because no matter what falls…
Jesus remains.
He’s the Lifeboat that never sinks.
The Rock that never shifts.
The Rescuer who stands—even when the world falls.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, when the shaking comes, help me stand firm in You.
Strip away everything that’s not of You—and let my faith rest on Your unshakable truth.
Amen.
