Letter 33: We're Almost Home – The Lifeboat's Final Stretch
This is Letter 33 from Rescue Mission from Heaven.
The lifeboat is creaking toward the shore. The storm is loud, but Jesus is louder.
He’s still calling. And we’re almost home.
WE’RE ALMOST HOME
The Lifeboat’s Final Stretch
The world feels darker than ever.
The waves are rising higher.
The noise is deafening.
But if you listen closely, you can hear it—
the lifeboat creaking as it nears the shore.
The sound of Jesus calling,
“Come home, My child.”
We’re almost home.
The finish line is closer than it’s ever been.
The door of the ark is about to close.
But the lifeboat is still open—
and Jesus is still calling.
“Therefore encourage one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:18)
I can feel it in my bones—
the sense that time is running out.
I don’t want to miss it—
and I don’t want you to miss it either.
Jesus promised He would come again—
and He’s faithful to every promise.
He’s coming—
to take us home where there’s no more pain, no more tears, no more goodbyes.
So hold on.
Keep your eyes on Him.
Don’t get distracted by the noise.
Don’t give up now.
Because when the trumpet sounds—
Every tear will dry,
every battle will cease,
and every longing will be fulfilled.
Jesus is coming—and we’re almost home.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for the promise that You’re coming soon.
Help me to hold on to You until the very end.
Give me strength, courage, and joy as I wait for the lifeboat to dock in heaven. Amen.
Action Step:
Take a moment to thank Jesus for the hope you have in Him.
Look up—and let your heart be filled with joy and anticipation.
