Letter 4: Hearing God’s Voice
A single golden stalk of wheat stands tall against a soft, neutral background. Its delicate grains are full and ripe, symbolizing the harvest. The image conveys a sense of simplicity, readiness, and the biblical theme of gathering souls at the end of the age.
This is Letter 4 from Rescue Mission from Heaven. In the middle of a noisy world, this letter helps you tune your heart to the shepherds voice. If you’ve ever wondered how to know its really him, this one will steady you.
Hearing God’s Voice
When the Shepherd Speaks in the Storm
The world is full of noise.
Opinions. Voices. Lies. So many wolves in sheep’s clothing.
But Jesus said:
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)
His voice is the lifeboat in the storm.
The gentle whisper in the chaos.
The quiet guidance when the world is screaming.
I’ve learned that hearing His voice isn’t about the loudest sign or the flashiest miracle. It’s about knowing Him so deeply that you recognize His whisper—even in the darkness.
His voice always lines up with His Word. His voice always draws you closer to Him. His voice always leads you on the narrow road—even when it’s hard.
In a noisy world, learning to hear His voice is the most important thing you can do.
He speaks through His Word. He speaks in the quiet moments of surrender. He speaks in the nudge of the Holy Spirit.
But you have to be willing to listen.
To shut out the noise.
To let go of the distractions.
To tune your heart to His.
Friend, don’t let the enemy steal your hearing. Don’t let the noise drown out the truth.
Listen for the Shepherd’s voice—the One who calls you by name.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, in a world full of noise, help me hear Your voice. Tune my heart to know You so deeply that no counterfeit can deceive me. Lead me on the narrow road—and help me follow You, always. Amen.
Action Step:
Take five minutes today to sit in silence. Ask Jesus to speak. Open your Bible and let His Word be your guide. Write down anything He whispers to your heart.
