Letter 24: When Everything Fell Apart — But God Was Faithful

This is Letter 24 from Rescue Mission from Heaven.
If your world feels like it's crumbling beneath you, this letter will meet you in the ashes. God’s faithfulness doesn’t falter—He’s still here.

WHEN EVERYTHING FELL APART — BUT GOD WAS FAITHFUL
Holding On When the World Crumbles

There were moments I thought I wouldn’t make it. The weight pressed in so heavy I could barely breathe. It felt like everything was falling apart—every plan, every hope, every piece of who I thought I was.

I thought we were on solid ground, but when the shaking came, it was like everything was made of sand. Dreams crumbled. Friendships dissolved. Even the faith I thought was unshakable was tested in the fire.

I didn’t understand why God would allow so much pain. Why He let everything unravel when I’d given Him everything?
But in the quiet of my soul, I heard Him whisper: “I’m still here.”

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)

When everything fell apart, He was the One who never left. When the pieces scattered, He was the One who gathered them in His hands. When I felt forgotten, He called me by name—beloved, chosen, redeemed.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3)

I learned faith isn’t built in the easy places—it’s forged in the fire. It’s strengthened when everything else is stripped away and all that remains is Jesus.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:19)

That’s where I found Him—in the ashes, in the stillness, in the broken pieces of my heart. His faithfulness isn’t measured by how easy life is, but by how deeply He loves us in the middle of the mess.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” (Psalm 23:4)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Today, I stand—not because I’m strong, but because He is. His grace is bigger than my failures. His promises don’t waver when everything else does. His faithfulness holds me when my faith falters.

When everything fell apart, I thought it was the end. But it was really the beginning—a deeper surrender, a truer love, a hope that can’t be shaken.
Because even when everything fell apart—God was faithful. And He still is. Always.

Prayer:

Lord, when everything falls apart, remind me that You are faithful. Even in the darkness, even in the pain. You never leave me. Help me trust You with all my heart. Amen.

Action Step:

Write down one area of your life that feels broken or shaky right now. Ask Jesus to meet you there—and remind you of His faithfulness.
