Letter 2: Resting in His Love

A white and red lifebuoy with a loose rope rests gently on soft, rippled sand beside tall beach grass. The setting evokes stillness, rescue, and a moment of reflection—symbolizing safety offered amidst life’s drifting winds.

This is Letter 2 from Rescue Mission from Heaven. After stepping into the lifeboat, Jesus invites us to rest. Not in striving, but in his love. Let this letter wrap around your heart, like a quiet reminder: you are safe in his arms.

Resting in His Love

The Lifeboat in the Storm

The world will tell you to keep running. Keep striving. Keep performing. Keep proving yourself.

But Jesus says:

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Resting in His love isn’t weakness. It’s surrender. It’s the moment you finally let go of the fight and let Him hold you.

In the middle of the chaos, in the middle of the fear, in the middle of the storm, Jesus is calling you to come and rest.

His love is a lifeboat that carries you when you can’t carry yourself.

His love is a shelter from the waves.

His love is the anchor that holds—even when the world shakes.

I’ve spent too many nights fighting, worrying, and trying to make things happen on my own.

But every time I let go and rest in His love, I find peace that the world can’t take away.

Resting in His love doesn’t mean the storm stops. It means you’re safe—right in the middle of it—because He’s holding you.

It means trusting that He’s enough, that He’s working even when you can’t see it, that He loves you—fully, completely, unconditionally.

Don’t fight the storm alone.

Step into the lifeboat of His love.

Let Him hold you.

Let Him quiet the waves in your heart.

Let Him be enough.

Come to Him, and let Him carry you like a sail in the sea.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I’m tired of fighting on my own. I choose to rest in Your love. Hold me. Quiet the storm in my heart. I trust You. Amen.

Action Step:

Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Picture Jesus holding you in His arms. Let go of the fight—and rest in His love.
