The Call To Endure

The Call to Endure

Holding On When Following Jesus Costs Everything

To the one barely holding on right now —

I know it’s hard.

Maybe the world has completely changed around you.

Maybe you’ve lost everything but your breath.

Jesus Said:

“In this world you will have trouble.

But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

— John 16:33

At some point in every true believer’s walk, the faith becomes more than just words. It costs something.

Comfort.

Approval.

Security.

Relationships.

That’s when endurance begins.

Endurance Doesn’t Mean You’re Strong — It Means You Haven’t Let Go

It doesn’t mean you’re fearless.

It doesn’t mean you feel brave.

It doesn’t mean you never cry or question or tremble in the night.

Endurance means you refuse to let go of Jesus — even when everything else is stripped away.

“He who endures to the end will be saved.”

— Matthew 24:13

That’s not just poetry. It’s a warning and a promise.

Because there will be moments when quitting seems easier.

When compromise feels safer.

When silence feels smarter.

When darkness presses in and hope seems far away.

But still — hold on.

Why Endurance Matters in the Last Days

Right now, the shaking has already begun. And it’s going to increase.

Pressure will rise.

Lies will sound like truth.

And truth will cost more than most people are willing to pay.

There will be demands to:

Blend in

Numb the pain

Accept deception just to survive

Trade truth for temporary peace

But Scripture is clear:

“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God,

you will receive what He has promised.”

— Hebrews 10:35–36

Even If You’re Shaking, You’re Still Enduring

It’s okay if your hands are trembling.

It’s okay if you cried yourself to sleep.

It’s okay if all you could whisper today was His name.

That’s endurance.

You’re still here.

You’re still His.

Let Jesus Carry You Through This

If you're standing at the edge — exhausted, confused, unsure how to take the next step —

this is your reminder:

Don’t let go of Jesus.

He will strengthen you.

He will carry you.

He will finish what He started in you.

You’re not alone.

Others are enduring too — scattered. But faithful.

Clinging to the same Hope.

Walking the same narrow road.

And Jesus is walking with you.

When your strength runs out, He doesn’t leave you behind —

He stays right beside you.

When you collapse, He doesn’t walk ahead —

He carries you.

Run with Endurance, Not in Your Strength — But in His

“Let us run with endurance the race marked out for us,

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.”

— Hebrews 12:1–2

Let Him fill you.

Let Him teach you how to endure:

Not by striving, but by abiding.

Not by fear, but by faith.

Not in your strength — but in His.

Because He’s Coming Back for the Ones Who Endures

If no one else sees you, He does.

If no one else applauds your faithfulness, He will.

Endure, beloved. Endure.

Because soon…

The race will be over.

The pain will pass.

The night will break.

The tears will be wiped away.

And you will hear the words we’ve all been longing for:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.

Enter into the joy of your Master.”

A Closing Prayer

Jesus, give them strength.

For the one who’s barely holding on —

show them You’re near.

Whisper truth when the lies get loud.

Hold them in the fire.

And fill them with endurance that only comes from You.

Amen.
