Faith
The Kind of Faith That Heaven Sees
(Reflections from Hebrews 11)
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
— Hebrews 11:1
There’s a kind of faith that the world can’t explain — but heaven knows it well.
Hebrews 11 walks us through a holy gallery of ordinary people who chose to trust an extraordinary God.
And their story didn’t end with them.
It continues with us.
Faith Isn’t Always Polished — But It’s Real
Faith isn’t always peaceful.
It’s not always pretty or poetic.
It’s not a feeling — and it’s not reserved for those who “have it all together.”
Sometimes faith looks like building a boat when there’s not a cloud in the sky (Noah).
Sometimes it’s leaving behind the only home you’ve ever known (Abraham).
Sometimes it’s risking everything to protect God’s people (Rahab).
Sometimes it’s choosing obedience over comfort, even when it costs everything (Moses).
Faith is trusting God in the unseen.
It’s walking forward when you don’t have answers.
It’s worshiping Him when your circumstances still haven’t changed.
What If Heaven Sees What the World Overlooks?
“Of whom the world was not worthy…”
— Hebrews 11:38
Those who walk by true faith are often overlooked, misunderstood, or dismissed by the world.
But not by God.
He sees what no one else sees.
And what He’s looking for isn’t perfection — it’s surrender.
He’s asking:
Did you believe Me when you couldn’t see the way?
Did you follow when it felt uncertain?
If the answer is yes, then you belong to the same family of faith as those in Hebrews 11 — not because of your strength, but because of your trust.
The Kind of Faith We’ll Need in These Final Days
The closer we get to Jesus' return, the more we’ll need the kind of faith that doesn’t shake when the world does.
“By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land…” — Hebrews 11:29
“…but the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.”
There will come a moment when only real, rooted faith will stand.
Not religion.
Not tradition.
Only Jesus.
Some will walk forward even before the waters part.
Others will sink — not because they weren’t sincere, but because they never truly surrendered.
This isn’t to condemn.
It’s a call to step onto the Rock before the shaking begins.
Do You Have This Kind of Faith?
Real faith.
In the real Jesus.
The One who rescues, redeems, and walks with you even when everything else falls apart.
You don’t have to earn it.
You just have to come.
And believe.
