Letter 26: Finding Strength in Weakness — When All You Have Left Is His Mercy
This is Letter 26 from Rescue Mission from Heaven.
If you’re at the end of yourself—barely holding on—this letter is for you. God’s power shows up best when you feel the weakest.
FINDING STRENGTH IN WEAKNESS
When All You Have Left Is His Mercy
There were days in this season when it felt like we were breathing air through a straw—
gasping for hope, struggling to find strength, wondering if we’d make it through.
But even then, God was faithful.
Even when the weight felt too heavy,
He held us up. He never let go.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
I’ve learned that sometimes God allows us to reach the end of ourselves—
so we can find the beginning of Him.
Because in the place where we can’t stand on our own; He becomes our strength.
His mercy is bigger than our exhaustion.
His grace is deeper than our failures.
His faithfulness is stronger than our doubt.
When I look back on this season,
I don’t see my strength.
I see His.
Every breath came from Him.
Every moment of peace was His gift.
Every step was carried by His mercy.
Friend, maybe you feel like you’re breathing through a straw right now—
like every step is a fight,
like you’re too weak to keep going.
But know this: You are exactly where His strength shows up best.
Lay down your strength.
Lay down your striving.
Let Him hold you.
Let Him carry you.
Because His power is made perfect in your weakness.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I can’t do this on my own. I’m tired. I’m weak. But I trust You. Be my strength. Carry me through. Let Your power be made perfect in me. Amen.
Action Step:
Write down one area where you feel weakest right now.
Ask Jesus to fill that space with His strength—and trust Him to carry you through.
