Letter 39 – A Glimpse of Heaven: What We Have to Look Forward To
This is Letter 39 from Rescue Mission from Heaven.
It’s for the heart that’s tired… but holding on.
If you’ve ever whispered, “I just want to go home,” this letter is for you.
WHAT WE HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO — A GLIMPSE OF HEAVEN
Home, Forever
Heaven is real. More real than this broken, fragile world. More beautiful than anything your eyes have ever seen. More alive than anything your hands have ever touched.
And yes—when we get there, we will have real, glorified bodies. Not ghostly, not fading—but redeemed, perfected, and eternal.
You’ll walk. You’ll run. You’ll laugh. You’ll hug Jesus—really, truly hug Him. You’ll sit beside rivers, under trees, in the light of perfect peace. You’ll dance if you want to. You’ll rest without weariness. You’ll sing without shame.
You’ll never grow tired. You’ll never feel pain. You’ll never cry tears of sorrow again. Because you’ll be home.
“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who… will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.” (Phil. 3:20–21)
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain…” (Revelation 21:4)
“In My Father’s house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2)
You’ll see colors like you’ve never seen. Smell fragrances this world could never hold. Hear music that stirs something eternal in your soul. Be surrounded by light, by love, by glory.
You’ll recognize loved ones who knew Christ. You’ll know and be known—fully. You’ll never feel alone again. You’ll never want for anything ever again.
There’s a city waiting. A Kingdom. A garden. A forever home. Streets of gold. Trees that heal. Rivers that run clear.
And at the center of it all… Jesus. The Lamb. The Light. The King.
You’ll run into His arms—your hair blowing in the wind, your smile wide, your soul completely at peace. And He’ll say the words you’ve waited your whole life to hear:
“Well done, My good and faithful servant… Welcome Home.”
Because this isn’t a dream. It’s your destiny. It’s your forever. And it’s coming soon.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me live every day with Heaven in my heart.
Remind me that this broken world is not my home.
Thank You for preparing a place for me—where I’ll see You face to face. Amen.
Action Step:
Whenever the world feels heavy, close your eyes and picture that city.
Let the promise of Heaven fill you with hope and strength to keep going.
